The Radical Prayer

Have you been praying the Radical Prayer every day? You say, "Why should I?" Because it will change you and impact individuals in your circle of influence for all eternity. You say, "I don't have time." Really, it doesn't take but a minute to intensely issue this prayer. You ask, "What's the Radical Prayer again?" It's the prayer Jesus told his disciples to pray as he sent them out to do evangelism. And as we determined last Sabbath, the prayer is actually a fervent plea to God for Him to throw out more evangelists into the world for the purpose of winning people over to Christ. And, it's a plea to God to begin with you and me. It's a Radical Prayer, adopted from the book, "The Radical Prayer," by Derek Morris.
How does the Radical Prayer read? In a paraphrase, like this: "Lord of the harvest, I earnestly beg you to throw out laborers into your harvest, and you have my permission to begin with me." Luke 10:2
And part two of that prayer is to pray for those in your circle of influence to be open to God's Spirit, receptive to your witness, and willing to accept Jesus as their Savior.
Throughout the month, be intentional with your prayer for friends - to love and serve them, and be ever mindful of opportunities to share your faith. Already I have heard from folks who are praying this prayer and seeing results. Let me know your stories as they unfold! It all begins with a daily Radical Prayer, which will lead you to live a radical life of friendship evangelism for your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
